#FlattenTheCurve: The Silence of a Pope by Shalom Galve Aranas

Watching Pope Francis
during the Easter Mass
deep in reverie
so hurt
he stands beneath
the rain in silence, so alive
like only a human can
speaking to the edge
of God’s mantle,
so humble is his silence
pleading for us
because it is now time
to ask God
God, we deserve
to live
because we love
and because we fight
evil in whatever form
it takes.
