A New Time, Translation from Asturian by the author:
Now, we think
that the mountains
are only a good place
for tourism
-or climbing-.
Earlier mountains were
the home
of the ancient gods
who governed
the life of the men.
Modern power
has descended
for some time now
from the summits
towards the valley.

Anantes yeren

El poder modernu

al valle.
